The Twelve Days of Christmas
(For Children or Adults)
After the holiday sing-a-long we introduce the song The Twelve Days of Christmas.
We then ask for volunteers to play the characters of the song.
For example: The Partridge in a Pear Tree, the Two Turtle Doves, the Three French Hens, etc.
We can have any number of people to play each part.
Then we begin the song.
Throughout the song, as each verse comes around to the 12 "gifts",
the people who were selected for that part, sing and act out the character as directed.
For instance, the Lords-A-Leaping might jump or leap, the Ladies Dancing do a little turn,
the Drummers Drumming bang on whatever is handy,
the Geese-A-Laying pretend to lay an egg, etc.
The different interpretations of the characters makes for a hilarious and
entertaining performance that all audiences and participants enjoy.
(THIS SHOW RUNS APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES)
The Silver Belles children's show always begins with a fun Holiday Carol Sing-A-Long, with songs picked out especially for kids such as: Deck the Hall, Jingle Bells, Up on the House Top, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and more.
This helps to rally everyone together and get them involved with us. After the warm-up, we introduce our story.
